Heart Ministry Center Campus Expansion & Renovation

With more than 40 years of dedicated service to Omaha, the Heart Ministry Center expanded and renovated its campus at 24th and Binney Streets in 2019. This comprehensive project combined new construction with the thoughtful renovation of existing facilities, ensuring the Center can better meet the evolving needs of the community. Morrissey Engineering, in partnership with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architects, delivered integrated mechanical, electrical, lighting, and technology design solutions. The result is a modern, welcoming environment that enhances efficiency, dignity, and accessibility for everyone who depends on the Center's vital resources.

The new two-story addition streamlines operations and elevates the client experience. The first floor boasts a bright, inviting waiting area; an expanded grocery section; dedicated sorting and distribution areas; and a boutique offering clothing and essential goods. Upstairs, administrative offices and adaptable classroom spaces support education, outreach, and a variety of community programs.

Renovations to the existing building further strengthen the Center's capabilities, featuring upgrades to the health clinic, enhanced laundry facilities, and modernized office spaces. These improvements form a cohesive campus, empowering the Center to serve individuals and families with greater compassion and efficiency.

This project reflects a continued commitment to the community—providing not just services, but a supportive and empowering environment for those in need.
